42matters is taken over by Similarweb

Zurich/Tel Aviv – 42matters becomes part of Similarweb. The Israeli and globally active app intelligence company intends to significantly expand its own app intelligence solution by integrating the data and expertise of the Zurich-based company 42matters.

42matters AG, based in Zurich, has been acquired by Similarweb, a global digital intelligence company based in Tel Aviv. Financial details were not disclosed. Founded in 2011, 42matters is backed by investors Gamma Capital Partners and Project A Ventures.

42matters has been a key partner for Similarweb's app intelligence offering for two years, providing essential data that helps app developers gain a competitive advantage. According to a statement from Similiarweb, the app data from 42matters includes twelve app store platforms, over 2.1 million publishers, more than 2,600 software development kits (SDK) and 20 million apps.

In particular, the inclusion of mobile SDK data from 42matters enables Similarweb to gain deeper insights into app development and usage patterns. For example, app owners receive information about their competitors' technology stacks, such as the use of app SDKs for integration with certain advertising channels.

In future, 42matters will operate under its own name as a Similarweb company. "Together, we will continue to innovate and offer our customers unique insights," CEO Andrea Girardello is quoted as saying. "As part of the Similarweb team, we will continue to serve our existing customers and help them integrate app data with web data to get a more complete picture of the digital world." ce/mm
