Winterthur – MRI Health Holding AG aims to improve healthcare in Switzerland with its Aeon Life platform. Imaging diagnosis with magnetic resonance and simultaneous blood tests can support the early detection of 500 health risks.
The Aeon Life platform developed by the Winterthur-based company MRI Health Holding AG aims to improve healthcare in Switzerland. According to a press release, the screening consists of a full-body check using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These MRI scans are evaluated at the same time as the corresponding blood analyses. The examination results are validated by radiologists and the results are communicated to users of an app connected to Aeon Life within 72 hours.
The whole-body MRI scans offer the possibility of detecting up to 500 health risks such as tumors, metastases, inflammations, infections, injuries, vascular changes and neurological diseases such as the beginnings of Alzheimer's and dementia, Parkinson's or multiple sclerosis at an early stage, according to the press release.
The examinations are carried out in MRI machines with a large, comfortable diameter. Patients should be exposed to lower levels of radiation than with imaging procedures such as computer tomography or X-rays. A complete examination costs 2490 Swiss francs, and a stripped-down version 1990 Swiss francs. ce/eb
