Zurich/Arlesheim BL – Anapaya has won Gas & Com as a partner for its Secure Swiss Utility Network. The Basel-based operator of fiber optic networks will integrate Anapaya’s SCION technology into its own offering.
(CONNECT) Zurich-based Anapaya Systems AG has entered into a strategic partnership with the Gas & Com AG from Arlesheim. The two partners want to offer the Secure Swiss Utility Network (SSUN) to the energy and utility sector, explained Anaypaya in a press release. To this end, the Basel-based fiber optic network operator is integrating Anapaya's SCION architecture (Scalability, Control, and Isolation on Next-Generation Networks) into its own offering.
"Gas & Com's nationwide fiber reach, trusted by utilities across the country, is a perfect match for SCION's secure and resilient network," Anapaya CEO Martin Bosshardt is quoted as saying in the press release. "Together, we are enabling a network that is specifically tailored to the needs of the energy sector." For Gas & Com CEO Sergio Milesi, the partnership with the company, which emerged from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) in 2017, is the next step in his own commitment to "supporting Switzerland's energy and utility companies with reliable fiber optic connections". ce/hs
