ANYbotics and SLB cooperate in the oil and gas industry

Zurich/Houston – ANYbotics has entered into a cooperation with oilfield service provider SLB. ANYbotics’ diagnostic robots are designed to increase safety and efficiency in hazardous oil and gas field environments.

ANYbotics has signed a long-term agreement with the Houston, Texas-based service provider SLB. SLB is active in the field of oil and gas exploration and development. According to a press release from the Zurich-based specialist for autonomous analysis robots, the two companies intend to pool their expertise in various regions such as North and South America, the United Arab Emirates and projects in the Atlantic.

In addition to its experience in oilfield services, SLB has a portfolio in the area of digital ecosystems. ANYbotics' robot technologies based on artificial intelligence are to be integrated into this. In particular, the ANYmal X diagnostic robot developed by the spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich(ETH) is to be used in complex and hazardous environments. Both routine and specialized tasks are to be performed without endangering human life.
