Lugano/Zurich – Aquila GVM Cosulting and the crypto bank Sygnum have entered into a strategic partnership. The Ticino-based asset manager is thus expanding its portfolio of traditional assets to include Sygnum’s all-in-one crypto banking services.
Aquila GVM Consulting, one of the largest independent asset management companies in Lugano, is now working with Zurich-based crypto bank Sygnum. According to a press release, this will enable the Lugano-based asset manager to meet the demand for portfolio management with diversification in crypto assets and for treasury management solutions for both digital and traditional asset classes.
This is also supported by the largest city in Ticino, Lugano, which has developed into one of the most important crypto and blockchain centers in Switzerland. It has also recently started accepting the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Tether for the payment of taxes and other city fees. It also wants to become Europe's leading blockchain hub with its Plan B. There are also 10,000 merchants already accepting crypto payments. According to the press release, Sygnum has a deep understanding of this development in Lugano and a growing presence in the region.
"By integrating these innovative digital services, we are not only expanding our service offering, but also ensuring that we are well equipped to navigate and thrive in the future changes of the financial world," Michele Crivelli, Partner at Aquila GVM Consulting, is quoted as saying. Romano Marco Brotschi, Head of EAM & MFO at Sygnum, emphasizes that this collaboration reflects the shared vision of both Future Finance companies "to create a trustworthy interface between the traditional and digital economy". ce/mm
