Schlieren ZH – Schlieren-based arcoris bio AG has raised 6.3 million Swiss francs in a seed financing round. The company is developing a biomarker platform to advance digital pathology.
(CONNECT) arcoris bio AG has acquired 6.3 million Swiss francs. The seed financing round was led by Ventura Ace and ZEISS Ventures, with the participation of Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) and existing and new private investors, as detailed in a press release. "The acquisition of two leading investors with in-depth industry expertise is a strong endorsement of our technical and business strategy," co-founder Simon Restrepo is quoted as saying in the press release. "This support strengthens us in our mission to transform biomarker detection and digital pathology."
The MUSE platform developed by arcoris is used for the detection of biomarkers for digital pathology, i.e. digital processing from sample acquisition through to findings. The fresh capital will enable arcoris MUSE to scale up to an industrial scale, enter into strategic partnerships and launch new products.
"In a difficult market environment, we are grateful for the trust that our investors have placed in our vision," says CEO Matyas Vegh. "Their support will enable us to bring our innovations to market faster, strengthen and scale our business to meet the growing demand of the industry."
arcoris bio AG is based in the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich. ce/jh
