Büro Züri Innovationspark Welcomes New Start-ups

Zurich/Dübendorf ZH – Five new start-ups are moving into the Züri Innovationspark office. They deal with clean energies and drives, robotics for construction, and patient care. On the initiative of Zürcher Kantonalbank, they are supported in the development of their business ideas.

Five new start-ups convinced the Büro Züri jury to allow them to move into the converted fire station at the Büro Züri Innovation Park located at the former Dübendorf airport: 4QT, BTRY, Levron Dynamics, LAYERƎD and Sanetics.

Büro Züri is a gift from the Zürcher Kantonalbank to the people of the canton, according to Büro Züri. In this way, fulfilling its service mandate and supporting the canton in solving its economic, environmental and social tasks.

In the new domicile, the start-ups are supported by a network of experts. Round the clock, they have access to a total of 170 square meters featuring 16 flexible workstations, fully equipped to foster an innovative and collaborative workspace. To this end, the ZHAW Runway Incubator provides advice on various aspects, including startup-related inquiries, startup development, and  access to additional experts.

4QT builds powerful electric drives to help smaller manufacturers of heavy machinery in electrifying their equipment. This is achieved with a modular and fully recyclable solution. BTRY aims to revolutionize the energy storage industry with innovative, sustainable and efficient battery solutions.

Levron Dynamics is developing a flywheel energy storage system that can supply the power grid with rotational inertia and balancing energy for an operation with 100 percent renewable energy sources. The LAYERƎD team is working on autonomous mobile robots that can directly work on surfaces at construction sites. And Sanetics improves the efficiency of drug distribution in hospitals and care facilities. ce/mm
