It is a gigantic waste of resources: More than 40% of all food worldwide is overproduced and ends up in the garbage can. This is because it is often cheaper to dispose of the goods than to recycle them. We think this needs to change and, with the support of the Migros Pioneer Fund and the Seedling Foundation, we are building a B2B marketplace where surplus food can be traded. On this basis, we establish a cycle in dealing with food surpluses and contribute to an effective and sustainable food economy.
