Bern – This year, the Digital Health Academy is promoting four companies that are particularly committed to the digitisation of healthcare. The academy is a foundation of digitalswitzerland and Swiss Healthcare Startups.
Digitalwitzerland and Swiss Healthcare Startups launched the Digital Health Academy in May this year. According to a media release, the goal and purpose of this foundation is to make healthcare more sustainable and innovative in Switzerland. Costs in the healthcare system are to be reduced, but citizens are to be well cared for at the same time. One option for this is the digitalisation of many areas. The Digital Health Academy promotes young companies that offer groundbreaking solutions in this area. In this year's first edition, four young companies will receive funding. They will be supported in their projects by Academy experts, take part in selected workshops and present their project results to interested industry representatives.
Decentriq from Zurich is a data platform that enables protected data exchange in the healthcare sector as a service (SaaS). HeyPatient from Winterthur represents a patient-oriented platform as a health companion. Soignez-moi from Biel BE enables high-quality healthcare through remote consultation. Tom Medications from Wermatswil ZH is a data platform on patient behaviour. With the Tom app, the data of chronically ill people can be collected and compared in an anonymised community. It provides information on disease progression.
The results of the funded projects will be presented at the Digital Health Day on 27 September in Zurich and at the AI for Health trade fair on 7 December in Geneva. ce/ww/Café Europe
