Egonym is looking for pilot partners

Zurich – Egonym has increased the number of its employees following a successful financing round. Deeptech is now looking for pilot partners to test its anonymization technology.

Egonym has increased its workforce by seven full-time equivalents, Deeptech from Technopark Zurich announced in a press release. The young company raised the funds to pay the new employees in a successful financing round last summer. With the creation of the jobs announced at the time, Egonym has now achieved the goal it set itself, according to the press release.

In the new year, the start-up wants to concentrate on testing its technology. Egonym is developing a solution for anonymizing images and videos with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). This should enable users to better control their visual identity online. Pilot partners, particularly from the marketing, advertising, creative, trade fair and event photography sectors, are being sought to test the AI anonymization technology from January 2024.

In the same press release, Egonym also announced a partnership with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Specifically, the young company was recently accepted into the ranks of the so-called Associated Partners of the Center for Digital Trust at EPFL. "Through this partnership, we want to jointly push Switzerland further as a pioneer in the development of trustworthy and transparent AI technology," writes Egonym. ce/hs
