Independent asset managers are an integral part of the Swiss financial center. According to current estimates, they manage assets worth up to CHF 850 billion and therefore represent an important client group for Swiss banks. Unresolved succession issues, rising fixed costs and ongoing consolidation pressure are important strategic decisions for independent asset managers. For banks, this development offers the opportunity to provide targeted support to independent asset managers, particularly in a phase of strategic decisions, and to expand cooperation in the long term.
