Schlieren ZH/Geneva – The Geneva-based ALCEA Fondation is a new consortium member of the start-up promoter Venture Kick. The charitable fondation supports individuals and organizations in achieving professional goals.
According to a press release, the start-up promoter Venture Kick has gained Fondation ALCEA as a new consortium member and financial backer. Venture Kick has set itself the goal of promoting around 3,000 science-based start-ups by 2033, which should create 100,000 jobs in Switzerland. In order to achieve this goal, the foundation is expanding its partner consortium to increase financial support for start-ups. The Fondation ALCEA was founded in 2016 and is based in Geneva.
"After several years of supporting startups and entrepreneurs who wish to realise their professional aspirations, Fondation Alcea decided to join Venture Kick, whose partners share the same vision of supporting innovation" Alcea Foundation President Jean Donnet is quoted as saying.
"Collaboration amongst the entrepreneurial forces is essential to achieve a major impact and advance a thriving ecosystem where promising startups can flourish and contribute to Switzerland's economic prosperity and global impact" explains Pascale Vonmont, President of the Venture Kick Strategy Board, on joining the foundation.
The Fondation ALCEA will join the existing partners of Venture Kick. These include Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Ernst Göhner Stiftung, Hauser-Stiftung, André Hoffmann, Hansjörg Wyss, Martin Haefner, Fondation Pro Techno, ESA BIC Switzerland and Swisscom.
In the past 16 years, according to their own statements, Venture Kick has supported over 1000 startups, which have received more than 8 billion Swiss Francs from investors and created over 13,000 jobs. ce/gba
