GNL launches walkabout for Technopark companies

Zurich – GNL and Technopark Zurich are teaming up for health. Every Tuesday, the Zurich-based sports shoe brand invites people working at Technopark to take a group walk. The aim of #TechnoSteppers is to strengthen muscles and joints, reduce stress and improve mood.

GNL, the sports shoe brand based at Technopark Zurich, and Technopark Zurich want to motivate Technopark employees to do something for their health and well-being. To this end, the two partners have launched the #TechnoSteppers initiative. Every Tuesday at 12.30 pm since July 16, people are invited to take a 30-minute walk. The invitation is aimed at anyone who wants to get some fresh air over lunchtime, writes Technopark Zurich in a corresponding event description. Sportswear and sneakers are not required; you can walk in normal clothing. You can walk in any weather, except in thunderstorms and storms. "Numerous studies prove this: People who walk regularly strengthen their muscles, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and many other chronic illnesses and mobilize the immune system," says the event description. In addition, exercise releases happiness hormones. The fresh air is said to help you relax and improve your mood. The good supply of oxygen to the brain combats tiredness and supports the ability to think. Walking in a group can also strengthen social bonds and reduce loneliness and isolation. "Just give it a try - alone or with your whole team," advise GNL and Technopark Zurich. ce/hs
