HeiQ concludes distribution agreement for Synbio cleaner with Ecolab

Schlieren ZH/St. Paul – Synbio cleaners from HeiQ will in future be distributed by Ecolab in the European Union, EFTA countries and the UK. HeiQ will receive an advance payment of 1.8 million euros for the two years of the market launch.

The Schlieren-based technology company HeiQ has signed a contract with Ecolab Inc. for the supply of HeiQ Synbio Cleaner, according to a press release. The supply agreement with Ecolab, a global provider of water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services based in St. Paul, Minnesota, has an initial term of five years. It provides for Ecolab to offer its customers cleaning products that have been developed on the basis of the HeiQ Synbio technology platform, it continues. Ecolab operates in more than 160 countries and employs over 40,000 people worldwide.

HeiQ will receive an initial advance payment of EUR 1.8 million to cover the investments required for the first two years of the market launch. If successful, there are additional minimum orders for the following three years, which generate a total minimum turnover of EUR 11 million. Ecolab will have exclusive distribution rights in the B2B cleaning sector for the European Union, the EFTA countries (Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway) and the United Kingdom.
