Hugo Boss launches products with Swiss technology

Schlieren ZH/Winterthur/Metzingen/Porto – The German fashion company Hugo Boss has launched a limited edition of outdoor products. These are equipped with textile technology from AeoniQ, which is now part of Altri, as well as NFC technology from collectID.

(CONNECT) Hugo Boss has launched its limited edition THE CHANGE, as detailed in a press release from AeoniQ. The Schlieren-based company was founded by HeiQ Materials, which is also based in Schlieren. In summer 2025, HeiQ sold a majority stake in AeoniQ to the Portuguese company Altri from Porto.

AeoniQ has developed the world's first climate-friendly, biodegradable filament yarn made from cellulose that can replace polyester and nylon. This served as the base material for the two-layer AeoniQ performance textiles used by Hugo Boss for THE CHANGE. This marks the start of a new chapter for AeoniQ, according to the company nominated for the Fair Fashion Award. They are proud that the results of years of research and collaboration are now visible in the stores.

Hugo Boss offers THE CHANGE products online and in selected stores worldwide. The textiles can be authenticated and tracked using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. The corresponding technology comes from collectID in Winterthur, which distributes it via its ZATAP brand. However, it is not only used for authentication. Companies like Hugo Boss can also use them for customer loyalty. In this way, buyers of THE CHANGE products can give feedback on the articles and also express wishes for future production. ce/jh
