HWZ honors Sina Wespi for her bachelor thesis

(CONNECT) The HWZ presented Sina Wespi with the Sustainability Award for her Bachelor's thesis at the Bachelor's graduation ceremony. In it, the Business Administration HWZ graduate examined "how coaching, mentoring and networking as strategic levers promote female managers at C-level - with the aim of understanding gender equality not only as a value, but as an entrepreneurial success factor", she explained her approach, according to a statement from the university.

The sustainability award encourages them to consistently think about excellence and social impact together. Because "sustainability begins where companies take responsibility for structures and the development of potential," says the award winner.

Her recommendations for action range from establishing coaching along key career phases to flexible and carefully designed mentoring programs and the targeted promotion of networking platforms. According to the HWZ, this work provides practical impulses for companies and for women with management ambitions.

The Sustainability Award was presented at the HWZ for the seventh time, this year for the first time in partnership with the Zurich-based consultancy Sustainserv, which focuses on sustainability. Bachelor's theses that focus on sustainable corporate action in business activities, in dealings with employees or in cooperation with other stakeholder groups will be considered for this award. Work on ecological issues or business ideas with a focus on corporate sustainability are also eligible. ce/mm
