By recycling the previously unused cocoa fruit, Koa reduces food waste and provides smallholder farmers with an additional income. Koa works with more than 2,200 Ghanaian cocoa farmers thanks to decentralised processing. The new technology is mobile and powered by solar energy. At the same time, Koa brings a previously unknown and fresh taste to the market with its 100% natural cocoa fruit products. This way, both the gastronomy and the food and beverage industry can enjoy a new, exotic ingredient full of impact. Koa was certified as B-Corp in 2022.
