Medyria is a Swiss start-up, founded in 2013. The company possesses proprietary Blood Flow Velocity Sensing (BFVS) technology, which uses a patented bi-dimensional thermal convection sensor for dynamic fluid flow measurement.
Their primary product is the PyCath system, an innovative all-in-one microcatheter. The PyCath integrates Medyria’s BFV sensor with a fibre-optic pressure sensor. This allows for the simultaneous measurement of key coronary physiology parameters such as FFR, CFR, and R𝜇/iMR.
Medyria aims to improve the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, particularly ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA), by providing an accurate, reliable, and easy-to-use tool for comprehensive coronary assessment.
