Zurich – Niatsu has won an award at this year’s Start-up BW Summit. The start-up received an award of 500 euros for its automated CO2 balancing of food.
The Start-up BW Summit 2024 presented 50 promising business ideas in three pitch competitions. According to a press release, the Zurich-based start-up Niatsu won the international pitch category with its idea for automated CO2 emissions accounting in the food industry. The company, with its core team from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH), prevailed over eight competitors and won the prize of 500 euros donated by L-Bank Baden-Württemberg.
"I am impressed by the diverse business ideas that were presented to us. The new generation of founders are thinking about social issues and sustainability in their products and services. They recognize the needs of our society and our time," Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, is quoted as saying in the press release. ce/ww
