OR-X

Operating Room X (OR-X) is an open-access center for surgical research and continuing education. As a center for surgical innovation and part of the SERI Roadmap for Research Infrastructures, it provides a realistic environment for developing, validating, and disseminating new procedures and technologies under clinically relevant conditions.

Covering an area of 1,185 m², the OR-X facility includes a fully equipped operating room and a dedicated skills lab with a total of seven workstations. This creates an environment that realistically simulates clinical practice and provides controlled and reproducible conditions for all surgical disciplines.

By combining research and continuing education within a shared infrastructure, OR-X accelerates the translation of new developments into clinical practice. As a platform, it brings together medical professionals, researchers, medtech companies, and medical institutions, thereby contributing to the future of surgery through collaboration.
