OxyPrem takes third place at the Healthcare Innovation World Cup

(CONNECT) OxyPrem, a healthtech company based in Zurich and Schlieren, has won third place at the Healthcare Innovation World Cup at MEDICA in Düsseldorf, according to a press release. A total of 13 companies were recognized as the best healthtech companies at the final on November 17. The Israeli company Nanose Medical was awarded first place and the audience place, while the Swedish company Acorai took second place. Another Swiss award winner is the company Watchibia from Bern

The companies were examined by a jury of experts and were able to prevail against 250 submissions from over 60 countries. OxyPrem was recognized for its non-invasive sensors for continuous monitoring of brain oxygen saturation in newborns. Nanose Medical was awarded first place for its desktop device for the digitization and real-time analysis of breath samples. Acorai in turn enables the non-invasive measurement of heart and lung pressure for the early detection of heart failure.

As the Top 3 of this year's Healthcare Innovation World Cup, the three companies will benefit from various advantages of the MEDICA health tech ecosystem and the competition.
