Schneider Umweltservice AG introduces an electrically operated moving floor. According to a press release, the commercial vehicle has a volume of 100 cubic meters and is designed to transport goods weighing up to 42 tons. The trailer is intended to contribute to more sustainable logistics. It is planned to use it mainly for transporting recycling material from the reprocessing centers with the aim of returning as much material as possible to the material cycle.

As a waste disposal company, Schneider Umweltservice is always on the lookout for innovative and even more environmentally friendly solutions. "By nature, we are committed to using scarce resources responsibly." In addition to environmental aspects, the push trolley reduces energy costs by using electricity instead of diesel. There are also advantages for the drivers, who are relieved of their transportation tasks.

The family business was founded in 1905 as a haulage company and has developed into a disposal service provider for all recyclables and waste in the economic region of Zurich, Zug and Lucerne with 370 employees. It operates eleven recycling centers and five collection points as well as mobile collection points.

The SME was nominated by the Swiss Venture Club as one of five SMEs for the Prix Wirtschaftsraum Zürich 2024. The award ceremony will take place on November 26 at the Kongresshaus Zurich. ce/heg
