Securecell launches fully automated platform for bioprocess development

Urdorf ZH – Securecell introduces innovative high-throughput solutions. They are designed to eliminate inefficiencies in traditional workflows. The end-to-end platform for bioprocess development, Integra1 64 2, can control 64 bioreactors in parallel.

The biotech company Securecell AG, based in Urdorf, Switzerland, is presenting a communication a range of innovative high-throughput solutions for bioprocess development. These solutions, where processes run in parallel rather than sequentially, are designed to eliminate inefficiencies in traditional workflows by offering a high degree of automation and integration.

The heart of Securecell's innovation is the Integra1 64 2, it continues. This is a fully automated end-to-end platform for bioprocess development with up to 64 bioreactors on a 200 mL scale. This system integrates process analytical technology (PAT) and downstream processing workflows (DSP) to enable real-time process monitoring, process control and process optimization. The Integra1 64 2 platform offers more functionality, reduces process time and lowers operating costs compared to existing technologies, according to the company press release.

Integra1 64 2 was developed to fully automate process development and eliminate the shortcomings of existing technologies, according to the press release. The advantages include improved functionality to support workflow-oriented bioprocessing, cost efficiency with savings of up to 50 percent compared to existing high-throughput technologies, reduced process time thanks to increased data generation and data density, and customization options thanks to modular components.
