sfb achieves first Swiss-wide recognition for building automation HF

(CONNECT) sfb is the first university of applied sciences in Switzerland whose Building Automation HF course has successfully completed the recognition procedure of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). "This guarantees the highest quality, state-recognized qualifications and training that meets the current requirements of the industry," sfb Director Dorothea Tiefenauer is quoted as saying in a press release. The demands placed on modern buildings are constantly increasing, the report continues. Thanks to the recognition of the course, the sfb - College of Technology and Management can now respond even better to the great demand for qualified specialists.

According to the description, the course content is consistently geared towards practice. Knowledge of energy efficiency, building IT, networked systems and modern automation solutions is imparted. The aim is to qualify for the planning and realization, but also the operation and maintenance of complex, smart networked buildings. According to sfb, this range creates the basis for sustainable and long-term economical building solutions. For companies, this development of expertise means a decisive competitive advantage, they say. Graduates were specialists who not only mastered current technologies, but could also actively shape the digital transformation.

The course leads students to their final thesis in six semesters, provided they have completed relevant vocational training. Graduates are ultimately awarded the title of qualified building automation technician HF. The sfb provides an insight into the content and structure of the training at information events.
