SmartPurse offers financial education free of charge

Zurich – The SmartPurse platform will offer financial education for everyone free of charge in future. The SmartPurseFREE program permanently eliminates the previous annual fee of CHF 95 for using the app.

The Zurich-based financial education platform SmartPurse is now offering its app free of charge. The previous annual fee of 94.99 Swiss francs will no longer be charged, according to a Notice permanently abolished. This campaign, launched by founder Olga Miler, , aims to "close the alarming gaps in financial literacy that have recently been revealed in Swiss studies".

All SmartPurse resources are now available free of charge and are designed to help women, young people and those on low incomes or with a low level of education to achieve financial freedom.

"With SmartPurse FREE, we are breaking down the barriers to accessing financial knowledge. We are giving people the opportunity to take control of their own finances. Financial independence is a fundamental right, and women and young people in particular are now benefiting from the tools they need for a secure future," Miler is quoted as saying.

According to the SmartPurse press release, there are considerable deficits in financial literacy in Switzerland. Recent studies have identified clear deficiencies and inequalities in financial education, particularly among young people, women and low-income groups.

In response to these findings, SmartPurse lifts the payment barrier and provides over 80 compact, practical lessons on topics such as salary negotiations, investments, debt reduction and retirement planning in the app free of charge. It offers short, video-based lessons that explain topics such as salary negotiation, investing and pensions in simple terms. Over 20 checklists and tools help with budgeting, investing and debt reduction. And there is direct contact with certified financial experts for professional support. ce/gba
