Successful partnership between Haelixa and OVS

Haelixa AG from Kemptthal, which specializes in DNA markers for tracing materials, and the Italian textile manufacturer OVS are satisfied with their collaboration. According to a press release, OVS uses Haelixa's DNA markers to mark the cotton used, from cultivation in Italy through the entire value chain to sale, and to make the process transparent.

The traceability of textiles is also becoming increasingly important in the fashion industry. Customers are demanding more information about the goods they buy. OVS wants to meet these demands by transparently disclosing the value chain.

"By tracing the path of cotton grown in Italy, we are helping OVS to bring full transparency to the supply chain," Patrick Strumpf, CEO of Haelixa, is quoted as saying in the press release. "The label increases trust in the brand and enables OVS to make sustainable product statements."

"In 2024, we continued our collaboration with Haelixa on the labeling and traceability of our OVS Cotone Italiano for another year," adds Simone Colombo, Head of Corporate Sustainability at OVS.
