Legic Identsystems, a provider of secure solutions for authentication, access management and IoT platforms based in Wetzikon, has entered into a partnership with SwiftConnect, an expert in enabling contactless access through digital passports on smartphones. As an official partner of Legic, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company is the first to provide access via NFC (Near Field Communication) wallets to Legic customers and its extensive partner network of developers of readers, credentials, application software and services. "Our collaboration positions Legic very well to open up opportunities in other vertical markets and regions," said John Harvey, Head of the Access Management business unit, in a press release.
According to the information, a global financial institution headquartered in Europe is already using Legic's reader and service for the secure provision of credentials and key management. It has integrated its employee ID cards in the Apple Wallet into the existing physical access and IT infrastructure so that employees can use an iPhone or Apple Watch to easily move around all its offices around the world.
The cloud-based software LEGIC Connect offers its core service for mobile access data to over 14 million end users in more than 200 countries and territories.
