The innovation project aims to develop a sustainable and cost-efficient ice hockey stick based on a combination of recycled polymer fibers and targeted carbon fiber reinforcements. The aim is to create a high-performance hybrid material that meets the functional requirements of ice hockey and at the same time contributes to resource conservation, the circular economy and lower-emission production. In addition, the extent to which parts of the product can be manufactured using 3D printing and reinforced with carbon in order to further reduce material usage, production waste and costs will be examined. Partners with expertise in carbon fiber technology, recycled polymer materials, composite materials and additive manufacturing are being sought for the implementation. The project combines material innovation, cleantech and sustainable sports equipment development and creates the basis for a sustainable product solution in the sporting goods sector.
