Ten start-ups selected for trip to Boston with Venture Leaders Medtech

Start-up promoter Venturelab has chosen the ten medtech start-ups that will travel to Boston as Venture Leaders Medtech 2024. There they will make contact with potential partners and investors from November 4 to 8. Boston is considered an important center for healthcare and medical devices in the USA. According to a press release, a jury of venture capital and medtech experts reviewed 60 applications. It decided on these ten Venture Leaders Medtech 2024:

• Apersys from Zurich. The young company has set itself the task of enabling more patients to receive an organ transplant.
• Aseptuva from Bern wants to prevent secondary infections in hospitals with a patented remote UVC technology.
• BIOS Medical, based in Davos, is revolutionizing orthopaedic aftercare with implantable biosensors.
• Calico BIosystems in Crissier VD is an experimental and digital platform that tests the efficacy of cancer drugs on real tumors.
• Citus from Dübendorf ZH offers an evidence-based skin assessment and enables the severity of a skin disease to be classified.
• Impli from Epalinges VD wants to revolutionize healthcare with a high-precision hormone monitoring platform.
• Metadvice from Saint-Sulpice VD distills complex treatment and outcome data into actionable insights for clinicians and patients.
• MYNERVA from Zurich has developed Leia, an innovative medical device that uses a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and non-invasive neurostimulation to reduce falls and chronic pain in people with diabetic neuropathy.
• OncoSwab, based in Courroux JU, wants to revolutionize the early detection of lung cancer with a non-invasive nasal test.
• OneTwenty from Zurich improves diabetes management with innovative AI-driven algorithms.
