Teylor Acquires CapeTec, Another Pioneer for SME Loans

Zurich/Düsseldorf – Teylor has acquired CapeTec. The Düsseldorf-based company was founded in 2024 by former Compeon managers and thus brings with it the DNA of the fintech pioneers for SME loans. Teylor sees this as a strategic alliance for the future of SME financing in Europe.

(CONNECT) Teylor acquires a majority stake in Düsseldorf-based CapeTec GmbH. Following the Frankfurt-based credit marketplace Creditshelf 2024 and the leasing business of Zurich-based GRENKELEASING AG in spring 2025, this is the third transaction by the company, which is also based in Zurich, within 18 months.

According to its press release, it aims to "build Europe's leading white label SaaS platform for SME lending under the Teylor Technologies brand" and consolidate the market throughout Europe. Large banks such as Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) are reportedly already among its customers.

CapeTec was founded in 2024 by two former Compeon managers, the fintech pioneer for corporate loans. Together with their IT team, they contributed the knowledge to build a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for the digital granting of loans to SMEs. With the acquisition of CapTec that has now been announced, Teylor is integrating Compeon's technological DNA into its own technology division.

This triples the size of the in-house development team "so that we can launch new SaaS products on the market and extend our technological lead", according to the press release. "This is more than just an acquisition - it is a strategic alliance for a new era of SME financing." ce/mm
