Truvami introduces battery-free IoT tracker label

(CONNECT) Truvami is now offering its new Smart Label product. The self-sufficient and maintenance-free tracker sensor for the Internet of Things (IoT) was presented at The Things Conference 2025 in Amsterdam. It does not require batteries that need to be charged or replaced manually.

"We rely on the right tool for the job," says Managing Director Chiara Koopmans, Managing Director. "Our portfolio includes battery-operated trackers and battery-free smart labels. Where maintenance-free operation and high quantities are paramount, the smart label comes into its own. Where there are special requirements in terms of robustness, range or specific sensor data, our battery-operated devices come into their own. The decisive factor is the specific application and that technology makes everyday work noticeably easier."
 
The smart label is ultra-thin and flexible, generates its energy from ambient light and transmits location and status data via the energy-saving LoRa network. Depending on the environment, hybrid methods are used to determine the position - from indoor signals to satellites - so that material flows from the store floor to the yard are visible without additional maintenance routines. The information appears in the truvami dashboard or flows into existing systems via interfaces so that decisions are made where they are effective, from scheduling to quality assurance.
 
"The progress lies in the combination of very low energy requirements, intelligent positioning logic and an industrial design," adds Software Lead Michael Beutler. "In the pilot projects, we are seeing fewer searches, more stable inventories and faster internal transportation because everyone involved can see what is where and in what condition."

Truvami is one of twelve Swiss exhibitors in the SWISS Pavilion at GITEX Global 2025. The world's largest tech, start-up and artificial intelligence trade fair will take place in Dubai from October 13 to 17. ce/ug
