u-blox and Wireless Logic improve IoT devices

Thalwil ZH/Hurley – The Thalwil-based semiconductor manufacturer u-blox has agreed a collaboration with the British company Wireless Logic. The aim is to improve the capabilities of devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) by connecting Wireless Logic’s Conexa network with u-blox’s mobile radio modules.

Semiconductor specialist u-blox from Thalwil and Wireless Logic Ltd have agreed a strategic partnership. According to a press release, the partnership will combine the use of Wireless Logic's Conexa network for the Internet of Things (IoT) and u-blox's advanced mobile radio modules to improve the capabilities of IoT devices.

U-blox is a global provider of positioning and wireless communication technologies and services. Wireless Logic, based in Hurley, UK, describes u-blox as Europe's leading provider of IoT connectivity platforms.

By integrating the Conexa network from Wireless Logic into selected u-blox mobile modules, customers should benefit from improved network reliability and comprehensive global coverage. The flexibility to switch between several mobile networks via the eSIM without having to change the physical SIM card is described as a further gain. In addition, the ability to manage and monitor connectivity via Wireless Logic's intuitive platform should give users more control and transparency over their IoT deployments.

Another advantage of this partnership is said to be shorter time-to-market. The combination of both services will streamline the development process for IoT devices, shorten time-to-market and enable faster delivery of innovative solutions. ce/gba
