Zurich – UpCircle has launched its artificial intelligence-powered waste analytics platform. This enables recyclers and waste dealers to estimate the value of their waste and increase process efficiency.
Zurich-based startup UpCircle has launched its artificial intelligence (AI)-based waste analytics platform. This should greatly simplify the recycling of materials from the garbage. The idea originated from a 2019 project by the three founders in the Robotic Systems Laboratory at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich(ETH).
According to a statement, UpCircle's technology allows it to use the latest computer vision technology from ETH and machine learning to analyze the collection and processing of waste in real time. As a result, recyclers, collectors and distributors would now be able to make informed decisions about which materials to send to a recycling facility.
«UpCircle brings the most advanced AI technology to the waste industry,» CEO and co-founder Dr. Hendrik Kolvenbach is quoted as saying. «With our solution, we help our clientele stand out from the competition and increase the efficiency of their recycling processes.» It also reduces operating costs.
UpCircle will be showcasing its technology at GITEX Global from October 16-20 in Dubai. ce/mm
