Zurich – Wingtra and Silent Falcon are now working together. The specialist for 3D remote sensing of all airports in the USA using artificial intelligence and digital twins will also be using Wingtra’s mapping drones in the future.
The mapping drones from the Zurich-based company Wingtra will contribute to Silent Falcon's 3D analyses in the future. Using artificial intelligence and digital twins, Silent Falcon specializes in remote sensing of transport infrastructure. In particular, the American company based in Virginia offers the most advanced technology for remote sensing of all airports in the United States, for example for construction and maintenance measures or for detecting anomalies.
According to a Wingtra press release, by combining Wingtra data with Silent Falcon's digital twin enhancement platform, customers can capture even the smallest details down to 1.5 millimeters GSD, across airport infrastructure and runways. For aerial surveys using drones, the ground sampling distance (GSD) is the distance between two consecutive pixels measured on the ground. The smaller the GSD, the sharper and more detailed the image.
Silent Falcon's team of experts works with companies to create specialized digital copies that meet their exact needs. In future, the high-precision, vertical take-off and landing drones from Wingtra will contribute to this. They specialize in GIS, the geographic information system for mapping technology. Wingtra is a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich founded in 2016. ce/mm/Café Europe
