(CONNECT) According to a company press release, over 1,000 students have already secured a place to study at Siemens ' Zurich StudyHub in January 2026. There, students can concentrate on their preparations at individual study stations and in group rooms during the intensive examination phase, including WLAN, coffee and other drinks and snacks. All services are provided by Siemens, while catering is donated by the Valora Group.
According to a company statement, this is Siemens' response to the high demand for additional learning opportunities in the Zurich region. During exam periods, long queues formed outside Zurich's universities and libraries.
The study spaces can be booked online. The individual places are fully booked. There is capacity for group rooms. These can be booked in the morning or afternoon for a minimum of five and a maximum of ten people.
In this second year of the Study Hub, Siemens is making an additional offer: its HR team holds a so-called Career Session once a week. Siemens employees from the Human Resources department will be on hand to give tips on CVs and to answer questions and provide information on career opportunities. ce/mm

The Digital Health Design Living Lab (DHD LL) is a co-creative, interdisciplinary hub that brings together various healthcare stakeholders with experts from the three initiating Zurich universities (ZHdK, UZH, and ZHAW) to actively shape the future of digital healthcare.
At the DHD LL, we develop and implement innovative solutions – from products to processes to services – for the (digital) healthcare system. These solutions are based on individual and societal needs as well as the latest insights from interdisciplinary research. The DHD LL core team unites experts in design and design research, medical ethics, and health promotion. The grow cluster, or grow for short, supports up-and-coming companies and start-ups in the life sciences (health, food and environment). We offer customized laboratory and office space ranging in size from 100 m2 to several thousand m2 at attractive conditions, and support local companies with further growth requirements. Since our foundation in 2004, we have supported numerous young companies and developed from a local initiative into a regionally significant cluster. In close proximity to the ETH, the University and the University Hospital Zurich, a nationally and internationally important science park for companies and institutions from the life science sector has been created over the last two decades. On the former site of the Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik AG with a floor space of 55,000 m2 and on adjacent areas, the park today counts 50 companies as well as academic institutions that represent a healthy mix of young startups, globally active companies as well as university clinics, institutes and research groups.
As part of the Technopark Alliance, the Bio-Technopark supports young entrepreneurs, provides them with a tailored infrastructure and promotes exchange between all the life science organizations based here.
The Bio-Technopark received attention, among other things, thanks to successful sales of startups to large corporations and internationally active companies such as Roche, Novartis, J&J, GSK, Pfizer, Thermo Fisher Scientific. Notable financing rounds, the stock market listing of Molecular Partners and Kuros, and successful product developments also made headlines.
