THE CULTURED HUB collaborates with a global network of start-ups to find answers to the food industry’s most pressing questions in order to define the food of the future. We enable startups to reach industrial manufacturing faster and cheaper. The goal of our bio-tech and food-tech company is to accelerate the development of sustainable proteins, specifically cultured meat, fish, seafood, and precision fermentation products by providing the appropriate state of the art scale-up facilities, technologies, expertise, and network. 

The digital health center bülach (dhc) is a network and platform for advancing topics relating to digitalization and innovation in the Swiss healthcare sector. It pools the strengths of innovative start-ups, companies from the healthcare sector (clinics & hospitals, care homes, (group) practices, outpatient care, group practices and health insurers) and service providers with complementary expertise. The interdisciplinary network brings needs and solutions together through transparent cooperation and an uncomplicated exchange of experience.

Together with Tenity and Zürcher Kantonalbank as co-initiator, the dhc runs an "Acceleration Program" for digital health start-ups. The aim of the program is to bring innovative solutions to market more quickly, open doors for pilot projects and, last but not least, to network with investors.

The dhc was founded in 2021, is organized as an association and has been operational since May 2022 with a physical competence center in Bülach-Nord. The growing and interdisciplinary dhc community currently consists of around 75 members and more than 30 network partners.

As an independent knowledge hub, AGRIDEA has been proactively committed to sustainable, down-to-earth solutions in the Swiss agricultural and food sector since 1958. The association, with about 120 employees in Lindau, Lausanne and Cadenazzo, networks a wide range of actors through its agronomic methodological competencies and implements projects, courses, publications and software in strong partnerships.

At dieCuisine, everything revolves around sustainable nutrition. We rent a professional kitchen and rooms for events, workshops and seminars. You can let us cook for you or you can prepare your own meal under the guidance of our kitchen team and learn about important connections along the way. We organize cooking workshops and are involved in various projects for a sustainable food system. Because food is culture and community for us, on certain days we open our kitchen to anyone with a desire for a social engagement.

Enable and promote the creation of technological innovation clusters in joint and open collaboration with the scientific excellence communities and companies. The Digital Health Design Living Lab (DHD LL) is a co-creative, interdisciplinary hub that brings together various healthcare stakeholders with experts from the three initiating Zurich universities (ZHdK, UZH, and ZHAW) to actively shape the future of digital healthcare.

At the DHD LL, we develop and implement innovative solutions – from products to processes to services – for the (digital) healthcare system. These solutions are based on individual and societal needs as well as the latest insights from interdisciplinary research. In addition, we generate new knowledge and promote cross-disciplinary competencies.

The DHD LL core team unites experts in design and design research, medical ethics, and health promotion. To ensure the demand-oriented implementation and successful integration of customized solutions into practice, we work closely with university hospitals, patient organizations, professional associations, research institutions, healthcare providers, and the public. Our participatory approach considers the diversity of perspectives and emphasizes community engagement.

The Healthtechpark is a physical hub for healthtech companies and a community that provides hands-on support for healthtech start-ups in the Zurich region. We organise qualified workshops, coaching and services for start-ups in the Healthtechpark. We arrange suitable offices, laboratories or workshops.

Strickhof offers high-quality, practice-oriented basic and advanced training and consulting in the fields of agricultural, food technology and home economics.

The Balgrist Campus is a research institution of national importance recognized by the Swiss government.

It is a non-profit, tax-exempt institution dedicated to the musculoskeletal patients of today and specifically to the patients of tomorrow.

It is precisely in the early phase of a startup's business development that the course is set that will massively influence its future chances of success. Professional guidance and support for young entrepreneurs is of central importance here, because they usually do not have management experience and access to infrastructure.

The glatec support association operates a "Business Incubator" in Dübendorf to facilitate and support startups and innovation processes in the field of materials science, environmental science and technology.

In close proximity to the ETH, the University and the University Hospital Zurich, a nationally and internationally important science park for companies and institutions from the life science sector has been created over the last two decades. On the former site of the Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik AG with a floor space of 55,000 m2 and on adjacent areas, the park today counts 50 companies as well as academic institutions that represent a healthy mix of young startups, globally active companies as well as university clinics, institutes and research groups.

As part of the Technopark Alliance, the Bio-Technopark supports young entrepreneurs, provides them with a tailored infrastructure and promotes exchange between all the life science organizations based here.

The Bio-Technopark received attention, among other things, thanks to successful sales of startups to large corporations and internationally active companies such as Roche, Novartis, J&J, GSK, Pfizer, Thermo Fisher Scientific. Notable financing rounds, the stock market listing of Molecular Partners and Kuros, and successful product developments also made headlines. Today, the life science organizations employ 1,500 people locally.

ESA BIC Switzerland is a incubator that offers extensive support packages (technical, business and financial support plus networking and community building) to startups that exploit technologies related to space for application on earth or technologies from earth adapted for usage in space. This relates to application fields such as navigation and positioning, telecommunication, cybersecurity, earth observation, materials & processes, space transportation & logistics or robotics.

In the modern startup space, we offer co-working workstations and offices, a domiciliation service, meeting rooms and seminar rooms, the LOX restaurant, and an event space for up to 300 people. The location was completely renovated in autumn 2021 and is now very popular with tenants (startups, SMEs, corporates, initiatives) and users of the seminar and event space. The startup space is located directly at Schlieren railway station and can be reached by public transport from Zurich main station in just 9 minutes. There are also over 100 parking spaces available. LOX
In our in-house gastronomy you will be spoiled daily with fresh and local delicacies. With the Arbeitskette Foundation, we also represent a restaurateur who combines social commitment with entrepreneurial thinking and action.

The grow cluster, or grow for short, supports up-and-coming companies and start-ups in the life sciences (health, food and environment). We offer customized laboratory and office space ranging in size from 100 m2 to several thousand m2 at attractive conditions, and support local companies with further growth requirements. In addition, we are optimally networked with business, science and politics in the region. Since our foundation in 2004, we have supported numerous young companies and developed from a local initiative into a regionally significant cluster. Grow primarily supports business ideas in the life sciences sector, but is generally open to other technology sectors. A high level of technical innovation potential is important. For start-ups and young companies, grow also offers advice and help with setting up and networking with other companies and universities, such as the ZHAW in Wädenswil.

Founded in December 2019: House of Insurtech Switzerland AG (HITS) is a subsidiary of Generali (Switzerland) Holding Ltd. An InsurTech Corp-Up Studio (Corp-Up is when a Corporate co-creates a solution with a start-Up), that builds innovative solutions with Generali Business Units (BUs) and start-ups that address challenges and create value for Generali.

We are a team of skilled innovation professionals who are experienced in partnering with Startups: starting from BUs needs, co-create prototypes of new products and services, which are fed back into Generali’s BUs.

The direct network currently includes more than 34 start-ups with knowledge from various technology areas including blockchain, AI, and digital payment and insurance. Partnerships with universities, technology providers, incubators, and accelerators complement the ecosystem. Innovation is offered within the network as a service to companies.

Switzerland Innovation Park Central is part of Switzerland Innovation and promotes collaboration between companies, start-ups and universities for innovations in the building, mobility and energy sectors. Together with its partners, Park Central forms an ecosystem that accelerates the translation of research results into marketable products and services. In addition to premises in an inspiring environment, Park Central offers various labs, project financing, innovation support, a digital co-creation platform and inspiring events within a strong community.

Tenity is a global startup incubator and accelerator with an integrated investment arm that invests in innovative technology companies in the financial and insurance industries. Tenity's investment strategy focuses on early-stage companies and seeks broad geographic diversification. More than 300 companies have participated in Tenity programs so far. The new fund will seek to invest in up to 300 new companies.

Superlab Suisse is a lab provider aiming to create a global platform for life science companies.
